Nikki Hitchcock is the founder and lead consultant of City of Light Consulting. She began the organization with over a decade of experience in various not-for-profit settings.
She made the jump to consulting when she realized that she'd become the go-to person for people with questions about the nonprofit world, with a firm belief that there is nothing more energizing or fulfilling than helping an organization reach its full potential.
Nikki is honored to support the incredible work of organizations around the world. In addition to her experiences in higher education, she has had the opportunity to learn through experience in local direct-service organizations, relief organizations, and government settings.
When she's not busy helping clients, she can be found fostering puppies, baking from scratch, or in her urban garden.

Tracy Tessier, joins the City of Light Consulting team with a lifetime's worth of cat herding to her credit. As one of eight children, she is used to bringing order into chaos. She has worked for many causes dear to her heart, including immigration and domestic violence issues.
Tracy is a lifelong Girl Scout, who graduated with a triple major in International Relations, History, and Spanish. Her Spanish was perfected by extended time in Mexico and Paraguay. When she is not administrative coordinating, she can be found quilting with retirees, camping or backpacking, or support her favorite International Exchange Student Organization.
Janelle Toner received her Master’s degree in Library and Information Science in 2004 and has worked with various libraries and nonprofit organizations throughout Western New York. She provides a research based flair to grant writing by approaching the need from many different directions and using multiple sources and media to find supportive information. Janelle takes pride in finding the right information for the right project and wrangling that information into solutions for her clients. On any given day, Janelle may be a reader, a gamer, a knitter, a beekeeper, an organic gardener or some combination of the above. She lives in Buffalo, NY with her husband, two children and two elderly chihuahuas.
Molly Sheppard is a Long Island native with a passion for all things creative. While at Mount Ida College in Newton, MA, she studied Graphic Design and Business and played collegiate lacrosse for four consecutive years. As an avid photographer and designer, she is consistently pre-occupied with the art world. Molly likes mixing modern day style and classical design anecdotes and incorporates her love of photography into her design work. Her projects with non-profits give her the chance to design for a cause.
With these positive values, and the artistic chops to support them, Molly has become City of Light's go-to for in-house graphic design.
