The City of Light Team

Nikki Hitchcock

Nikki is the founder and lead consultant of City of Light Consulting. She began the organization with over a decade of experience in various not-for-profit settings.

She made the jump to consulting when she realized that she'd become the go-to person for people with questions about the nonprofit world, with a firm belief that there is nothing more energizing or fulfilling than helping an organization reach its full potential.

With a Masters in Community and Economic Development, and additional graduate work in Organizational Leadership, Nikki brings knowledge and experience to her work with clients.

Nikki is honored to support the incredible work of organizations around the world. In addition to her experiences in higher education, she has had the opportunity to learn through experience in local direct-service organizations, relief organizations, and government settings.

When not working with clients, she can often be seen chasing a pre-schooler around Buffalo’s farmers markets.

Tracy Tessier

Tracy joins the City of Light Consulting team with a lifetime's worth of cat herding to her credit. As one of eight children, she is used to bringing order into chaos. She's worked in many different roles, but she's best known for being the go-to person for establishing sanity for any office environment. She has worked for many causes dear to her heart, including immigration and domestic violence issues.

Tracy is a lifelong Girl Scout, who graduated with a triple major in International Relations, History, and Spanish. Her Spanish was perfected by extended time in Mexico and Paraguay.

When she is not administrative coordinating, she can be found quilting with retirees, camping or backpacking, or support her favorite International Exchange Student Organization.

Charlie Loudin

Charlie joins the City of Light team having extensive experience writing, editing, and proofreading in the academic, nonprofit, and professional spheres, with particular focuses on grant writing, copy writing, research, and creative work. Charlie values the rewards and challenges of working with nonprofit organizations, pro-social businesses, and creative individuals, and he collaborates with clients and team members in crafting powerful writing that clearly and eloquently communicates their vision.

Kellyn Kautz

Kellyn attended St. Bonaventure University, where she developed skills in traditional media and observational drawing. She later took an interest in digital media and graduated with a degree in Media Arts and Animation from the Art Institute of Indianapolis.

Since then she has worked as a freelance artist in a number of different capacities including animation, photography, character design, and graphic design. When she isn't working on art, she can be found on her back porch drinking coffee and bird-watching with the aide of her two cats: Rodney and Creamcicle.
